Sharmaine has a multidisciplinary background, which enables her to look at problems from several perspectives and offer creative solutions to complex problems.

Sharmaine received a degree in Economics, majoring in international trade & finance in year 2010. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Sharmaine worked as a fund accountant, a business analyst and a research fellow. She has since attained the ability to understand how industries and businesses work and what makes a business or organisation successful.

Sharmaine completed a law conversion course in the United Kingdom in year 2015. Sharmaine subsequently completed the Bar Professional Training Course in 2016 and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in the summer of the same year. Sharmaine was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2017.

Sharmaine has experience in vast array of matters, both contentious and non-contentious. Sharmaine adopts a down-to-earth approach to litigation. She focuses on achieving the best outcome for her clients, applying the most suitable and cost effective way of dispute resolution possible. With her experience in litigation, Sharmaine is capable of assisting her clients in pre-empting and intercepting problems and disputes when she crafts and reviews legal documents and contracts.
